Based in Southern California, JMA founder John Mead has worked in the entertainment and event planning industry for over 20 years.  He considers it his goal to make your job effortless by listening to your needs and concerns and then drawing on his network of connections with the best speakers, educators, entertainers, celebrities and sports figures across the country to find the personality who will make your event come alive.  With his experience in the corporate, association and university event industry, John can help you refine your ideas, manage your budget, and create a memorable, exciting, world-class event.

John's career in events began in college at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he planned entertainment acts for the Cultural Affairs Department, helped organize fundraisers for the UCLA Career Center, and worked in the Broadcast Marketing Unit at CBS News in New York.  After college, he booked local musical acts and edited an entertainment industry newsletter for Hollywood players and insiders.  After a short stint at a music & pop culture dot com, he found his calling in the meeting planning industry and has booked hundreds of keynote speakers, bands, corporate entertainment acts, celebrities, sports figures, broadcasters, and best-selling authors around the world.

In his spare time, John is an avid college football fan who enjoys playing guitar, reading, hiking, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
